"A World Away in the Heart of the City"
Harriet Island is conveniently located across the Mississippi River from downtown St. Paul. We are close to several major freeways (I94, 35E, 494), and just twenty minutes away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport and downtown Minneapolis. While our location is distinctly urban, we are moored on the edge of public parkland that stretches for miles up the Mississippi River. Paved bike paths and walkways will take you from downtown to secluded areas full of deer, beaver, eagles and herons, then return to the Covington for an evening under the twinkling lights of the city skyline.
Directions:
From the North:
Follow I-35 East into St. Paul. Take Highway 52 South to the Plato Boulevard exit and take a right. Take a right at Wabasha and another right at Water St. Take the first left at Levee. Follow Levee down onto Harriet Island; drive to the last parking lot and park by the 'Showboat Landing' building. Walk down the pier and we are the first boat on the left.
From the West:
Follow I-94 East to Highway 52 South and follow the above directions from Plato Boulevard.
From the East:
Follow I-94 West to Highway 52 South and follow the above directions.
From the South:
Follow I-35 North to 494 East then to 52 North. Exit Plato Boulevard and take a left. Follow the above directions by taking a right at Wabasha.
From Downtown St. Paul:
Go over the Wabasha Bridge and take the first left over the bridge onto Water Street. The next first left is Levee and that will loop you down under the bridge onto Harriet Island. Drive to the last parking lot and park by the 'Showboat Landing' building.
